Humans land on Moon.
NASA launches the Apollo 11 mission and humans step on the surface of moon for the first time ever. The mission included 3 astronauts - Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. The mission was a huge success with all three astronauts succesfully returning back to Earth.
World's most powerful rocket launched.
SpaceX launches the Flacon Heavy rocket to space and successfully lands to two rocket boosters. This was one of the most epic moments in the history of Space advancement, especially with respect to reusable rockets. The payload consisted of a Red Tesla Roadster. Yes, we sent a car to space.
Can you imagine how exciting it would have been if we already had a lunar base on the Moon by 2019? This decline in the pace at which we are advancing in the field of space is due to the fact that the common public is losing interest in it.
